Product Description SID / NW-4437 is a water-based styrene-acrylate copolymer emulsion specially designed as a binder for non-woven materials used in battery separator and tubular gauntlet applications. It provides strong filler/fibre binding, formation of a clear and hard polymer film, good acid resistance, aging resistance and strength retention. The product is also described as being compatible with non-ionic and anionic emulsions and having a wide tolerance toward fillers. Its combination of binding strength, chemical resistance and film properties makes it suitable where the finished non-woven structure needs to maintain mechanical integrity in an acidic battery environment. 2.
